Q: A ring is not my size
A: At Universal Gold, we offer a re-sizing service on all of our rings. Details of the re-sizing service can be found within the listing of the rings we have for sale. If you are unsure on any details of the re-sizing, please send us an e-mail.
Q: Do Universal Gold offer different chain lengths?
A: With all the pendants we offer, we send with a standard chain length of 16inches. If you wish to have a different length chain, we do have these available but at an extra cost. Please contact us via e-mail to enquire should you wish to have a different chain length.
Q: What packaging do we use?
A: Currently, our items are packaged up in small recyclable craft envelopes which are placed inside a recyclable aluminium tin along with biodegradable shredded paper.
Q: Do you offer gift wrap?
A: Universal Gold offer a gift wrapping service, which you can find details of within each listing. When you purchase the gift wrap option, the piece of jewellery you have purchased will arrive in a leatherette box, wrapped in a generic wrapping paper with a little note card for you to write your message. If you want us to write the message for you, you can either send us an email with our order number along with the message you would like to add, or simply leave us a note in box when you place your order.
Q: Customs and Import Taxes
A: Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. Universal Gold are not responsible for delays due to customs.
Q: Are your environmental credentials legit?
A: YES! 100%. We have taken huge steps to be carbon neutral, zero waste and water-wise.
Q: Can I pay in installments?
A: Yes! Universal Gold does have the option to pay for an item in installments. The item will be posted upon receiving the final payment from you. The payments are all interest free, at an amount you decide and at a frequency of your choosing. You can also take payment breaks at any time. All payments are done via the payment gateway and a custom listing for you alone. If you wish to do this, please contact us to allow us to set this up for you.
Q: Can I return an item?
A: Yes. We offer a full 14 day returns policy on all items bought from us. This starts the day after you receive your item. The only time this return policy is different is if the ring is re-sized or altered by us.
Q: Are all your stones and metals guaranteed?
A: YES! The stone we state is the stone you get. The stones we source are always natural unless otherwise stated. We ONLY use ethically sourced stones or CZ's as they are much kinder to produce for the environment. Likewise, all our gold is 100% guaranteed to be of the carat stated. Everything we sell is hallmarked to UK legal standards and we are not allowed to sell gold in the UK, or in Europe, unless this official mark is in place. We do not mark the pieces, they need to be sent to a government agency and tested for the mark to be issued.
A: Yes, we can offer an insurance certificate and valuation certificate on EVERYTHING we sell with a value of £50 and over. The in house certificates are £5 each (the only cost is the paper and ink) and an external one is £20. The external versions are done independently of us and we have no control over the value they give. If you buy an external valuation and insurance certificate, you get one of ours free.
